Jayde Edwards

Growing up without a father and having a mother suffering from mental illness, I was raised in the social care system from the age of 6.

Left with no role models and nothing to aspire towards, I began to take the shape of my environment where certain trajectories are normalised. I was only a child myself when I had my first son at the age of 15 and from that point believed my opportunities would be limited. This coupled with the community I grew up in, becoming successful seemed almost impossible. Faced with challenges and no mentors to show me how to overcome adversity, I had almost lost all hope. I believed I was unemployable and wouldn’t achieve much. But iRxcruit restored my hope when they placed me in positions I would have never imagined myself in and helped me build relationships with people of influence. iRxcruit did more than just provide me an alternative pathway into success, they provided me with the best mentors to set me on a new and better direction. Soon after completing the development programme, I was encouraged to use my voice as a tool to educate and inspire other young people, like myself, that want to be successful but lack the necessary tools.

Through iRxcruit, I have become an advocate for endless possibilities. In a short space of time, I have been able to empower hundreds of young people across the country and have grown skilled in gathering up to 500 young people weekly for any chosen agenda placed in my care.

iRxcruit have taken a young girl, with no prospects in life and transformed her into an exceptional public speaker and mentor to other young people. I have spoken on national news outlets, such as BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Financial Times. I am also the founder of a Charity that focuses on employing young parents and educating young people in schools about Early Parenthood, CSE and Modern Day Dangers. The Charity employs 200 young people across the UK.

iRxcruit goes beyond making you employable, they make you a leader in your respective field.
